Pipeline construction is a very labor-intensive, detail-oriented process that requires the efficiency of an assembly line. A project the size of the Florida Southeast Connection pipeline is comprised of manageable sections referred to as “spreads.”
These spreads call for work groups that feature specialists who are uniquely qualified to perform certain tasks. When a crew of specialists completes a section of pipeline, the next crew maneuvers into place to complete its portion of the construction effort.
Construction and work related to the project is being performed by Rockford Corporation.
